Hamro Palo (Our Turn in Nepali) is a non-profit and non-government organization established in early 2016. Our mission is to empower adolescent girls, boys, and women equipping them with skills and knowledge to create their own safe and healthy futures. We provide them with culturally sensitive services that advance adolescents’ health, safety, confidence, and leadership skills.

Deadline: The Call for Applications closes on 22nd of July 2020. Selected applicants will be informed by the first week of August, 2020

We have initiated a digital fellowship for young girls who want to advocate at the comfort and safety of their homes. We are now accepting applications from Nepali women – bloggers, vloggers, journalists, writers, filmmakers, artists for our digital initiative to highlight lives of adolescent girls in various parts of Nepal. The stories could celebrate work that has made a positive impact on the lives of adolescent girls, or issues that need the attention of various stakeholders, particularly during this global pandemic.

We believe in girl-led leadership and want to provide this opportunity because we believe in YOU to help us learn and highlight adolescent girls’ issues. We are looking forward to the collective action on issues you highlight.

You can apply for up to NPR 85,000 and grants are fully flexible to support your work as you define it. In the application, we will ask you to share more about your plan and how you expect to use the grants.

Who can apply? Nepali women below the age of 35 years can apply for this initiative. Prior experience of digital advocacy is not mandatory.

What platforms are eligible? Any digital platform of your preference. We would love to learn more about it in the application form.

Timeline for the advocacy – We encourage you to plan your advocacy to be completed in three months.
